This policy explains how I, Greg Mushen, use information collected through gregmushen.com.

Analytics preferences

Google Analytics is on by default and places cookies in your browser to measure visits. You can opt out using the button above and continue using the site normally.

Your opt-out is browser-based: it is saved in this browser’s local storage for up to one year, not in an account. You’ll need to opt out separately in each browser or device you use. Clearing this site’s browser data, using a new private browsing session, or letting the saved choice expire resets the preference and analytics will be on again. If your browser blocks local storage, the choice can only apply to the current page.

Opting out stops future collection and removes this site’s Google Analytics cookies from this browser. It does not delete data already sent to Google. You can return here to turn analytics back on.

Google Analytics

I use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use this site. This helps me see which pages are useful and improve the site.

Unless you opt out, Google may collect information such as the pages you visit, your interactions with the site, the referring website, your device and browser, and your approximate location. Google Analytics cookies store identifiers that help distinguish browsers and sessions. Google receives your IP address when processing a request, but Google Analytics does not log or store it.

Hosting and external links

Cloudflare hosts this site and processes technical request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect it. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Links to services such as Calendly, YouTube, Spotify, and X take you to other websites. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.
